Networking also means building the future

On Saturday, February 14, El Potrero Reserve participated in a meeting in Gualeguaychú, promoted by the Municipality of Gualeguaychú, which featured a motivational talk by Coco Oderigo, founder of the Espartanos Foundation.

Since 2019, the Reserve has been supporting the social rugby project at Penal Unit No. 9, where the Los Caranchos team trains every week. The initiative seeks to generate opportunities, strengthen values, and support processes of change through sports.

The project sparked the interest and support of the community, who came to learn more and join in. Thanks to the contribution of the Hornus company, the team received jerseys and training equipment.
Teachers Agustín Barrere, Mataco Casenave, and Willy Ciseri participated in the meeting, along with authorities from the Prison Service, the Prison Ministry, and representatives from different sectors of the city. Today, more than 50 players are part of the project, which also highlighted the need for a field to support this growth.
The day ended with a practice session inside the prison, led by Coco and the teachers, and the delivery of the equipment received.

At Utopía del Sur, we remain committed to sustaining processes, building community, and opening up new possibilities.
