From March 18 to 20, El Potrero Reserve participated in the 5th Tri-national Meeting of Protected Natural Areas of the Uruguay River, a key forum for regional coordination held under the theme “The Uruguay River: Integrating Ecosystems and Communities.”
Through the participation of Daniel Avalo, we took part in this meeting, which brought together stakeholders from Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil committed to biodiversity conservation in one of the region’s most important biological corridors.
During the conference, key topics were addressed, such as ecosystem restoration, biodiversity management, best practices in protected areas, environmental education, and sustainable tourism. Above all, however, opportunities for dialogue and collective collaboration were created, where sharing experiences and perspectives becomes essential.
Participating in these types of gatherings strengthens partnerships, sparks new ideas, and reaffirms something we deeply believe in at the Reserve: effective conservation is only possible when built collaboratively, transcending borders.
The Uruguay River not only connects landscapes; it also connects people and projects.
